- : Boy, that's probably an understatement. I have this program and it
- : *crawls* on my 4000/040. I suspect, depending on your tolerance level,
- : an even an 060 may be marginal.
-
- ;) I won't dispute this. We use every spare instruction cycle a machine has,
- and even then we would like more.
-
- But I challenge anyone to find another rendering program that creates and
- renders Millions of z-buffered, textured, 100:1 anti-aliased polygons per
- scene faster than we do.
-
- Heck, I challenge anyone to find another package that does what we do,
- period. Especially on the Amiga. ;)
-
- This is one of the reasons why we are making Windows versions that run
- on fast Pentiums, and DEC Alphas.
-
- And before everyone asks, yes we do (and will) support the Amiga line.
- We recently shipped the third prerelease of our V2 product, and the final
- V2 will be finished later this year. Final V2 will have some new features
- to make using the program easier, including a tutorial videotape and a
- new 'Project Wizard'. Final V2 will also support 24-bit via CyberGraphics.
-
- As far as 060 and PowerPC support, our current 040-optimized vode seems
- to run quite well on properly configured 060s (CyberPatcher seems crucial)
- and we will produce a PPC version as soon as both the OS and compilers
- support it.
